When you’re setting your big business goals for the year ahead, don’t forget to pay attention to the need for personal growth in business. One doesn’t happen without the other.

Ready to be the person who is going to nail that big lofty dream you have?
Because really… business ownership is nothing if not a journey of self-development. And your business will only grow when you, as a person, grow. It's about growing into the person who can accomplish the goals that you are setting for yourself.
Personal Growth In Business Is Not Optional
Personal and business growth go hand in hand. There’s no arguing about this.
So, with that in mind and while you are mapping out your big goals for 2023, sit down and have a deep think. Because as you embark on the journey toward achieving the goals for 2023, you simultaneously need to go on a personal growth journey.
Open up a page in your journal and just get everything out.
WRITE A LETTER TO YOURSELF.
Who do you need to be in 2023?
Who do you need to become to be the person who can achieve these goals that you've set yourself? What’s the personal growth journey you need to embark on?
Maybe you want 2023 to be the year you become a seven-figure business?
Or maybe work-life balance is your focus and your goal is to only working 20 hours a week.
Or you’re dreaming of taking an eight-week holiday in Europe with your family.
Whatever the goal, the next (crucial) question is:
- Who do you need to become in order to achieve that goal?
- What traits do you need to possess that you currently don’t have?
- What are your limiting factors?
- What area do you need to work on so you won’t hold yourself back from achieving these goals?
Write down your goals for personal and business growth. Brainstorm. Be brutally honest (but don’t judge). Do what it takes. And then keep it to yourself… all to yourself.
And then, this time next year, read what you wrote down.
